北の国から
先月、俳優の田中邦衛さんがろうすいのため亡くなりました。88歳でした。僕はこの知らせをニュースで知りました。田中邦衛さんといえばドラマ「北の国から」を思い出します。僕は大学時代に初めて「北の国から」シリーズを観ました。きっかけは、同じ浜田省吾のファンであった、埼玉県に住む同じ年の女性でした。
その人とは文通を何回かしていたのですが（時代を感じるなぁ）大学1年生の終わりの春休みに初めて埼玉で会いました。
彼女は浜田省吾と尾崎豊と「北の国から」の大ファンで、北の国からについて熱く語っていました。その影響で僕もレンタルビデオで「北の国から」を借りて観てみました。
新潟大学2年生の5月に「北の国から」を始めてオンタイムで観ました。裕木奈江さんが出ていて、東京での物語でした。「北の国から～巣立ち～」だったと思います。
僕は彼女に、北の国からを観た次の日に、「好きです。つきあってほしい」と告白しました。
彼女からの返事は「新潟で彼女を探しなよ」でした。
僕はその言葉にうちのめされ、泣きました。
北の国からを観ると、いつもその埼玉の彼女のことを思い出します。元気にしているのかなぁ。
田中邦衛さんの名演技をもう見れないのかと思うと残念ですが、「北の国から」シリーズをもう一回観てみようと思います。
