新研究始まる
大門中学校の2年生に、「新研究」が届きました。全国の中学生が使っている、入試対策に最適と言われている問題集・参考書です。新研究は解説が素晴らしく、演習問題も基礎～入試問題まで広く扱っています。新研究の範囲でテストをする学校もたくさんあります。
昨日、2年生が新研究を持って来てくれました。さっそく英語「be動詞（現在・過去）から始めました。
これから始まる「新研究の学習」を応援していきたいと思います。
まずは1年生の範囲からの学習になるので、つまづいたときは1年生の塾教材に戻って学習し直す（入試対策）ことになります。
僕が中学生のときも、2年生の秋に新研究が配られ、新研究確認テストがありました。
恥ずかしい話ですが、2年生の3学期にあった「新研究テスト」をさぼったことがあります。テスト範囲の学習を終えていなかったので、「仮病」を使ってしまいました。
罪悪感を感じたのをよく覚えています。それ以降は新研究テストは毎回受けました。でも僕は新研究は「カレンダー」通りには進めることができず（国語は1回も学習しませんでした）、英語・数学ばかり勉強していました。
今振り返れば、苦手だった理科をもっと真剣に勉強しておけばよかったなと思っています。
僕は中学時代、理科を塾で習ったことがほとんどなく、いつも苦手意識を持っていました。個人塾に通っていたのですが、富大生の先生に質問するのが恥ずかしく、結局最後まで質問できずじまいでした。
当時は「質問したら笑われるかな」とか質問する勇気がなくて、塾の言いなりになっていました。もっと理科を質問していればよかったのに、と何回も思います。
そういう「苦い経験」から、当塾の生徒さんには「恥ずかしいから質問できない」「質問する勇気がない」といことがないよう、細心の注意を払っています。1対2指導なので、生徒さんがつまづくであろう所はあらかじめ把握しておいて、授業中に少しでも「わからない表情」をしていたら、僕の方から「わかっとるけ？」と質問しています。
縁あって当塾に来てもらったからには「結果」でお返ししたいなと思っています。
